Learn To Sight Read Music
any tips on the most effective way(s) to learn how to sight read music fluently?
I’m having a frustrating time trying to get good at this. I’m getting in the routine of reading at least an hour everyday but progress seems really really slow. i have a few months to get pretty decent at reading in order to get into some schools for music.
is there any advice out there that might aid in my daunting venture?

if so it really helps if you find the key in which your in at every cadence in the music
for example if you notice that you’ve just cadenced into the key of D you know that the D major scale has sharps at F and C. knowing this all the note you play will be in this key untill you cadence into another key.
(make sure to know your relative minors. i.e. B relative minor to D.)
practicing scales, arpeggios and cadences for every single major and minor keys is an awesome tool
